The Greedy Mouse Story
Once upon a time, there was a little mouse. The mouse couldn’t find food for many days. He was so hungry that he was almost starving to death. Day by day, he became thinner and weaker.
One day, while wandering around in search of food, he found a basket full of corn. He tried to climb into it, but he couldn’t. Then he noticed a small hole on the side of the basket and squeezed through it.
Inside, he started eating the corn greedily. He ate and ate until his belly was full and round. But when he tried to leave through the same hole, he realized he couldn’t fit anymore—he had become too fat!
Worried, the mouse cried, “How will I get out now?”
Just then, another mouse passed by and heard him. He came close and said,
“My friend, you’ll have to wait until you get thin again. That’s the only way out!”
And so, the first mouse had to stay inside, hungry once again, until he could escape.
Moral Of The Story: We should not be greedy.
